A trick-play trainer, not a full game.
Euchre is a 4-player trick-taking card game with partners sitting across from each other. The deck is small — only 9, 10, J, Q, K, A in each suit (24 cards total). Each player gets 5 cards.
One suit is chosen as trump each round. Trump cards beat all non-trump cards. The team that picks trump is expected to win — they need at least 3 of the 5 tricks.
Within trump, the ranking from strongest to weakest is:
Off-suit cards rank normally: A, K, Q, J, 10, 9. Non-trump suits can only win if no trump is played.
The first card played sets the lead suit. You must play that suit if you have it. If you're out, you can play trump (to win the trick) or throw off any card.
Your cards are sorted with trump on the left side. Remember that the Left Bower looks like the other suit but counts as trump — it'll be grouped with your trump cards.
Euchre Coach is a training tool, not a full game. It generates random mid-trick scenarios and asks you one question: what card do you play?
The coach evaluates your pick and explains why it was smart, acceptable, or a mistake. You'll see one of three ratings:
